Arts Education Coordinator Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic After-School Acting & Improv Teacher to lead engaging and creative theater-based sessions for students ages 6 to 18. This position involves teaching basic acting techniques, improv games, scene work, and performance skills in a fun, supportive environment that encourages confidence, collaboration, and self-expression.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and lead weekly after-school acting and improv classes Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment Teach fundamentals of acting, voice, movement, and improvisation Encourage creativity, teamwork, and respect among students Prepare students for informal showings or final performances (as applicable) Communicate with parents, and program coordinators as needed Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants
Qualifications:
Background in theater, acting, improv, or performing arts preferred Prior experience working with children or youth Strong classroom management and communication skills Creative, reliable, and energetic Ability to adapt lessons to different age groups and skill
Preferred:
Degree or coursework in Theater, Education, or related field Experience directing or producing student performances
