At Wellheart Chartered Public School, we believe that dramatic arts and performance are vital for a child’s creative and emotional development. As part of our Reggio Emilia-inspired approach, we are seeking a Theatre Teacher who can ignite a passion for drama, storytelling, and performance in young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and teach theatre lessons that promote self-expression, confidence, and creativity. Use storytelling, role playing, and performance to help children understand narratives and develop social-emotional skills. Guide children in the creation of plays, skits, and other performance-based activities that encourage collaboration and imaginative thinking. Collaborate with other teachers to integrate theatre arts into cross-curricular projects. Support school performances and community engagement initiatives. Document children’s growth in theatre and share progress with parents.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Education, Performing Arts, or related field. Experience teaching theatre to young children, preferably within a Reggio-inspired framework. Strong communication and performance skills. Ability to create a fun, dynamic, and supportive environment for creative learning. Passion for theatre and its role in child development.
