DRAMA KIDS IS NOW HIRING ELEMENTARY DRAMA TEACHERS & ASSISTANTS FOR OUR 2025-26 SEASON!

Drama Kids is a Creative Drama & Literacy Enrichment Program where kids “Act Up” with a purpose! We work with our students’ imagination and creativity to develop literacy skills, public speaking, leadership/teamwork and acting abilities, while building their confidence, essential life skills learned in a fun and professional atmosphere. As a member of our great team you will: Work 10-15 hours per week during afterschool hours, typically between 3-8pm Teach and mentor students from 5 to 13 years of age Direct plays and musicals Co-teach & assist with our dynamic team of Directors and Teen Apprentices Participate in on-the-job paid training during our summer camp programs Follow provided world-renowned lesson plans on speech, movement & acting Build relationships with parents and students Have potential to do additional administrative and marketing work/projects for our location Paid bi-monthly starting at $20/hr (commensurate with experience and training) for Teacher position Paid bi-monthly starting at $16/hr for Assistant Teacher position Our kids are our future—and they need our help! DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

Do you love children? I mean 25 of them…together in a room? Do you have great classroom management skills? Do you have a strong, well-projected voice and big personality? Do you have a passion for theater and acting experience? Are you available weekday evenings after 3:30pm? Are you willing and able to teach in several Capital Region locations, including Clifton Park, Latham, Guilderland, & Delmar? Can you commit to working the entire school year, September-June? Are you fun to be around? Do you have lots of energy…like A LOT? Do you want to make a difference in the lives of kids? WOW! Qualifications Teaching experience, especially in drama or performing arts Strong classroom management skills to effectively engage students Ability to develop and implement engaging and innovative drama curriculum Experience working with children and their caregivers in an educational setting Knowledge of acting techniques and theater production Familiarity with musical theatre, dancing, and other performing arts disciplines
