Part-Time, 10 – 30 hours a week

MAJOR FUNCTION

Instruct in Basic Recruit Fire Fighting Training courses. Minimum Training /

Experience:

Current Bureau of Fire Standards and Training Instructor Certification. Minimum of six years of experience as a regular member of an organized fire department. Physical ability to perform the tasks associated with the training.

SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS WILL DEMONSTRATE THE FOLLOWING

Oral and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills; sound judgement; problem solving skills; and possess positive motivational skills. Preference will also be given to veterans and spouses who are eligible under the Veterans’ Preference Law. At time of application, submittal of Form DD214 is the minimum requirement for veterans’ preference claim.
