Driving Instructor Right Start Driving Academy Aiken, SC 29803 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Driving Instructor or someone we can train to obtain a Driving Instructor certificate for SC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for educating students on safe driving practices, traffic laws, and vehicle operation. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to hands-on driving instruction. The Driving Instructor will play a crucial role in preparing students for their driving tests and ensuring they develop the skills necessary for responsible driving. Duties Educate students on the rules of the road, traffic signs, and safe driving techniques through practical driving lessons. Maintain a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement. Provide constructive feedback to students on their driving performance, helping them to improve their skills and confidence behind the wheel. Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and readiness for driving tests, adjusting teaching methods as necessary. Communicate clearly with students and parents regarding their strengths and areas for improvement, fostering an atmosphere of trust and support. Ensure that all vehicles used for instruction are maintained in safe operating condition. Requirements Previous experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred but not required. Experience in adult education is a plus, as this role may involve instructing both teenagers and adult learners. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to students. Ability to demonstrate patience and empathy while teaching students with varying levels of experience. Be certified as a SC driving instructor or be willing to attend our 40 hour instructor certification program. A valid South Carolina driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
