Description
The University of West Alabama College of Business is seeking to hire a full-time faculty member in Finance and Economics (open rank, tenure-track, full-time, 9-month) to teach finance and economics courses.

Responsibilities:

Teach undergraduate and graduate finance and economics courses on-campus and online.
Fulfill other duties expected of a faculty member, such as student advising, committee assignments, appropriate public and professional service, research, professional development, and college recruitment and retention activities.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Chairperson and/or Dean.
Qualifications

Essential:

A PhD or DBA in Finance and/or Economics from an accredited institution. Consideration will be given to ABD candidates.
A minimum of 18 hours of graduate course work in Finance and Economics.
Ability to work effectively with administration, faculty, staff, and students.

Desired:

Successful college teaching experience.
Experience and willingness to teach both on-campus and online courses.
Before hiring, the final candidate(s) must successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation, including information obtained from social media and other internet sources.
