Department Information The Department of Accounting and Law includes both undergraduate and graduate level Accounting degree programs, as well as undergraduate and graduate certificates in Compliance & Ethics. The Mike Cottrell College of Business (MCCB) is an AACSB-accredited college of business that offers programs on five campuses in the North Georgia region, located near the largest grouping of FinTech companies in the country. The MCCB includes the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and the Truist Center for Ethical Leadership. In addition to the B.B.A. with majors in accounting, finance, management, marketing, and information systems, the college offers undergraduate degrees in technology management, and minors that include business administration, economics, entrepreneurship, and FinTech. Graduate programs include the Cottrell M.B.A., Master of Accountancy, and three graduate certificates. Job Summary The part-time faculty member will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in any of the following locations: Dahlonega, Gainesville, Cumming, Oconee, or online. There may be opportunities for both day and/or evening classes. Responsibilities The part-time faculty member will be responsible for teaching compliance and ethics courses in any of the following locations: Dahlonega, Gainesville, or UNG Online. There may be opportunities for both day and/or evening classes.
Use innovative teaching and learning techniques to provide high quality learning experiences for our students. Required Qualifications Candidates with a master’s degree or higher in subject area that includes 18 graduate semester hours of accounting or equivalent field. Master’s degree in accounting from an AACSB accredited school is preferred. Substantive and significant experience in accounting with an active CPA license may be considered in lieu of a graduate degree.
