Job Description:
The Massry School of Business is seeking a qualified adjunct instructor to teach
B ITM 623
Design of Experiments and Data Quality, Security, and Privacy. Presented in this course are the research process and basic research designs: qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods. The qualitative paradigm is presented as complementary to quantitative methods, rather than contradictory and competitive. Students begin developing ideas for their own studies based on previous research business, researching those topics, and working to develop appropriate and ethical methodology. Students will generate multiple types of research designs to examine business-related issues, learn about the importance of causality, and the potential influences of various factors on outcomes. They will summarize and communicate the methods and results of previous business research studies and their own designs, prepare executive-level presentations, and learn how to apply appropriate ethical safeguards to secure and protect data.
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver course content that covers the fundamental principles of research methods as appropriate at the Master’s level. Engage students through lectures, discussions, and interactive activities. Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and participation. Maintain office hours to assist students with course-related inquiries.
Meeting Time:
August 25th – December 16th Thursdays from 3:00pm-5:50pm. In-person.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
PhD or ABD, previous teaching experience at the graduate level is highly desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds. Applicants must demonstrate an ability to develop inclusive and equitable relationships within our diverse campus community.

Lecturer, Part-time; $5,000 each 3-credit course for the semester
