The Clemson University College of Education seeks highly qualified candidates to fill course instruction needs in the Department of Teaching and Learning. This part-time opportunity to teach one or more courses is available on an as-needed basis. Courses may be offered in spring, summer, and/or fall terms and be offered in one or more modalities ranging from in-person to asynchronous online. The start date varies according to departmental teaching needs. The areas of content expertise required by the department align with undergraduate program areas, which include: Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Middle Level Education (Language Arts, Social Studies, Mathematics, and Science), Secondary Education (English, Mathematics, Social Studies/History, and Science), and Modern Languages Education (American Sign Language, French, and Spanish). Content expertise needs at the graduate level are aligned with program areas in our Master of Arts in Teaching Programs (Middle Level, Secondary, and Modern Languages) as well as our Master of Education Program in Teaching and Learning. In addition, for qualified applicants, instructional opportunities in doctoral level content may be needed to include dissertation writing and support. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a related field Doctoral (or terminal degree) in a related field (required to teach in graduate-level programs) Expertise in content aligned with a departmental program area A commitment to inclusive teaching, creating an inclusive learning and working environment, and working alongside persons with diverse backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous higher education teaching experience Experience teaching with modality in which course is offered Practical experience in an applied field aligned with a departmental program area Application Instructions
