Huntsville, Alabama Assistant Director Job Description Summary/Objective The Assistant Director assists the Director in operating the campus in accordance with Ardent policies and procedures. This individual must be results oriented and personally committed to the success of our students and Ardent. Must have the ability to accept the role of acting Director as needed, and help provide a safe, quality environment which appropriately meets the social, emotional, physical and cognitive needs of young students. Essential Functions × Conduct tours (as needed) × Converse with parents on a regular basis to discuss the development of their enrolled child(ren). × Ensure that problems encountered by staff are resolved × Implement and Enforce Ardent policies and procedures × Keep the Director informed of any necessary information regarding the student, parents and staff × Manage the waitlist/student promotions Daily Tasks × Build relationships with parents and staff × Monitor employees time to prevent overtime (as needed) × Motivate and mentor employees × Assists and accepts responsibility in other daily duties that might be temporary in the event other employees are not available × Partner with Director to lead Bible × Review Timecards × New Hire Onboarding × Completion of CRM tasks × Manage waitlist/student promotions × Procare Engage administration tasks Weekly Tasks × Obtain documents from new hires × Maintain employee files × Billing Boxes set up on Friday × Billing Statements (as needed) × Approving timecards Monthly Tasks × Review the ordering with admin team of childcare supplies and equipment × Ensure all employees are up to date with CPR/1st Aid and DHR required certification Quarterly Tasks × Provide parent participation/community relations opportunities Abilities × Decision Making × Leadership × Ethical Conduct × Teamwork Orientation Qualifications × High school diploma × 1-2 years management experience × Successfully pass a background check Physical Demands The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
