JOB TITLE
Assistant Principal
JOB GOALS
To assist the principal in providing schoolwide leadership in the area of curriculum and other assigned duties as needs dictate.
REPORTS TO
Principal
QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in school administration at the secondary level.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary responsibilities is to work with department heads and teachers in coordinating curriculum offerings and recommend changes as needs dictate. Assists the principal with the overall administration of the school. May serve as principal in the absence of the regular principal. Proposes schedules of classes and extracurricular activities. Deals with discipline of students; confers with parents regarding student problems. Works with department heads and faculty in compiling the annual budget requests. Assists in the conducting of safety inspecting and safety drill practice activities. Performs such other duties and assumes such other responsibilities that the principal may assign.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary and work year to be established by the Board. Salary in adherence and compliance with approved salary schedule.
