Description
Under general supervision, performs standard clerical and administrative duties. Requires demonstrated knowledge of the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of the secretarial function usually gained through formal education in secretarial science or secretarial experience. Reads, prioritizes and routes incoming mail. Makes travel arrangements and reservations. Schedules appointments. Orders supplies, maintains databases and reports. Assists with special projects. Drafts and types correspondence. May supervise other support personnel. May handle confidential information, dictation and transcription. May verify insurance and process medical record requests.
Position will serve as the medical student liaison working with students, faculty and community preceptors to ensure clerkships are scheduled accurately and that the rotations are positive and clearly communicated. Will deliver schedules to both students, faculty and preceptors, providing all related clerkship documentation such as orientation materials, location of clerkship and contact information; will assist in scheduling student meetings and coordinating monthly guest speakers, proctoring of student exams; may assist in planning and executing student and department events.

Salary Range:

$15.00 – $21.00
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED and five (5) years of related experience required. Preferred skills include, critical thinking and ability to multi-task; must be self-directed and self-motivated; the ability to work independently and as part of a team and possess excellent communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with students as well as faculty; the ability to demonstrate flexibility and be able to adapt to change
