Student Engagement Administrator for RenV (12-month)

Salary Schedule:
H QUALIFICATIONS

1. Master’s degree from an accredited educational institution. 2. Valid Alabama certification in Educational Leadership, School Principal or Professional School Principal, or Administration and Supervision. 3. Three (3) years classroom teaching experience and/or administrative experience. 4. Must meet background clearance requirements as specified by Alabama statutes and State Board of Education regulations.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

1. Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with the system’s approved compensation plan. 2. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by the system.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Demonstrate commitment to and support for the vision and mission of the system and school. 2. Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating instructional programs and activities at the assigned school. 3. Design and support implementation of online and onsite meetup activities for students. 4. Design and implement virtual academic support structures for students at various performance levels. 5. Assist in overseeing programs for students with identified special needs. 6. Assist with the development and implementation of an effective staff development program. 7. Develop and implement family and community involvement programs and business partnerships. 8. Design and coordinate online and onsite social connection opportunities. 9. Assist with coordinating and supervising all testing programs at the school. 10. Analyze student performance data as a basis for curriculum improvement and staff development needs. 11. Manage student accounting and attendance procedures. 12. Maintain visibility and accessibility at school-related activities and extracurricular events. 13. Collaborate with school and system personnel in planning and implementing system initiatives. 14. Assist in developing and implementing positive public relations for the school. 15. Provide assistance with the local school guidance program. 16. Assist with the development of the school’s master schedule. 17. Improve skills and knowledge through in-service and other professional development programs. 18. Periodic travel to support students across the state. 19. Assume other reasonable job-related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

1. Knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies governing education in state and system. 2. Knowledge of curriculum, instructional programs and best practices for virtual learners. 3. Knowledge of engagement strategies for learners at various performance levels. 4. Knowledge of asynchronous and synchronous learning strategies. 5. Ability to work with people in an effective manner. 6. Ability to engage and support staff, students, and parents in non-traditional teaching and learning methods. 7. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. 8. Ability to plan, organize, and establish priorities. 9. Ability to use data in the decision-making process 10. Demonstrate interpersonal styles and methods to guide individuals and groups toward task accomplishment. 11. Ability to facilitate problem solving by individuals and groups. 12. Ability to use technology resources in records, management, curriculum and the total school program. 13. Sufficient strength, agility and dexterity to perform all required tasks. 14. Demonstrate high standards of professional conduct.

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel.
