Principal Qualifications:
- MS Educational Leadership required.
- 3-5 years classroom experience required.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with students, faculty members, parents, alumni, and other members of the community.
- Confer with parents, teachers, counselors, and students on matters of discipline and welfare.
- Share with the principal the responsibility for protecting the health and welfare of students.
- Resolves all discipline problems in a fair and just manner and maintains records of any discipline action taken.
- Complete investigative and due process procedures to conclude in appropriate disciplinary action.
- Participates in the development and implementation of all school practices as a member of the administrative team.
- Assists in administering practices dealing with campus control and security.
- Assists with campus supervision.
- Collect, review, and analyze behavior data; implement strategies with parents, students, and teachers to facilitate student behavior change.
- Supervise students on campus including parking lots, cafeteria, athletic events, social activities, programs, assemblies, etc.
- Assist in the enforcement of all federal, state, CSA and district regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Assist in assigning faculty to supervision of co-curricular activities.
- Daily Duties walking classroom and campus; collaboration with administration for student support plans, collaborate with principal for high level behavior intervention/consequences.
- Shared with administration District Discipline Reporting.
- Provide Professional Development in Behavior and Classroom Management
- Organization and Management of Field Studies
- Organizes and manages student events.
- Communication with administration regarding upcoming events and needs.
- Management of Arrival and Dismissal; Training of school staff on carline procedures.
- Student Clubs and Activities Management
- Cafeteria Duty
- Training of Cafeteria Aides
- Supervises Cafeteria and Organizes the Cafeteria Policies & Procedures
- Facilitates/Supports PLCs when necessary.
- Attends District and CSA Meetings
- Member of PSLT
- Attendance Committee Chair
- Title IX Coordinator
- Threat Assessment Team Chair
- Safety Meetings Coordinator
- Safety Alert System Coordinator (Centegix/Safer Watch/RAVE)
- Collaboration on Pre-Planning Activities and Delivery
- Fulfill the terms of any affected written contract and adhere to the Code of Ethics and Principles of the Professional Conduct of the Education Profession in Florida.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the school’s policy on evaluation of professional personnel.
