Academic Assessment Professional – College of Social Work Florida State University – 4.3 Tallahassee, FL Job Details Full-time $40,000 a year 14 hours ago Qualifications Microsoft Word Power BI Microsoft Excel Microsoft Outlook Doctoral degree Customer service Writing skills Mid-level Microsoft Office High school diploma or GED Qualtrics Bachelor’s degree Experience working with students Certified Social Worker Clinical Social Worker Social Work Communication skills 10 years Full Job Description Department College of Social Work, Academic Programs Responsibilities This position manages the academic responsibilities related to the College of Social Work (CSW) PhD program, as well as performs tasks impacting all levels of academic programs (Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral degrees). Additional essential responsibilities relate to course building, waiver coordination, systems knowledge, and assessment Manages the CSW Doctoral Program admissions process, including marketing and recruitment efforts. Facilitates registrar operations for the College of Social Work’s Doctoral program. Advises doctoral students on continued academic progress, including but not limited to registration, course offering, and graduation matters. Interprets and explains academic program policy to current students, faculty, and staff. Performs roles of department waiver coordinator, academic scheduler, and Canvas administrator for all academic programs. Provides and analyzes data for the College’s internal and external evaluation and reporting needs. Designs and requests analyses in Microsoft Power Business Intelligence (BI), and other university database systems. Coordinates with institutional research and the controller’s office when appropriate. Researches and interprets department, college, and university policies to answer questions and aid in problem resolution. Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree and two years’ experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience is preferred. (

Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, principles, and practices. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously. Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and be able to navigate new software systems confidently. Prior customer service experience and/or experience working with students in an education setting. Ability to review, analyze and organize data and information for assessment and evaluation purposes. Applicants should possess a strong sense of initiative while managing multiple responsibilities concurrently. Knowledge of and experience with systems utilized at the University (Canvas, OMNI, Power BI, Qualtrics).
