We are seeking a dedicated professional who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant workplace community. What You’ll Do The Assistant Principal assists the Principal in the implementation of the mission and vision of Tallahassee State College’s charter school sponsorship efforts. The Assistant Principal maintains high academic standards in curriculum, educational practices, student performance, and supports the management of facilities, finances, and supports to carry out the college’s vision of sponsorship efforts. The Assistant Principal provides strong organizational and instructional leadership and a student-centered approach to decision making. Leadership Supports the Principal in carrying out the mission and vision for the college’s charter school sponsorship efforts. Implements, evaluates and reports on goals and objectives for quality charter school authorizing. Provides updates as needed in various areas to the Principal, Provost, Deans, other Directors, and President, as charter school relationships are established and formed. Maintains a positive climate conducive for student-centered decision making. Curriculum and Instruction Serves charter schools in a multitude of ways related to curriculum and instruction, as the charter schools request or show the need for support. Coordinates with charter schools regarding state testing and reporting requirements. Assists the Director in providing support for the charter schools and ensuring that academic components are being met. Student Outcomes Serves as a support to the charter school by making college connections that will increase positive student outcomes, including but not limited to: Academic Outcomes at the secondary level; Academic outcomes at the post-secondary level; Social-emotional outcomes. School Environment and Facilities Management Serves as a support for facility’s needs. Assists in the management TSC allocated resources to the charter school Supports efforts related to the SRO and TSCPD and serves as a support to the Director in ensuring that the College as a Charter School Authorizer is in compliance with all mandates associated with the Office of Safe Schools at FLDOE. Who We’re Looking For We’re seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success.

Our ideal candidate will have:

A Master degree in Educational Leadership. At least two (2) years of related experience. Preference given for demonstrated experience with: opening a new school; non-traditional pathways to learning; CTE or Dual Enrollment; implementing a new school’s programs.
