$39.8K – $44.9K a year 1 day ago Qualifications Mid-level High school diploma or GED Bachelor’s degree 2 years Full Job Description Department Transfer Student Services – Division of Undergraduate Studies Responsibilities The Transfer Student Outreach Specialist serves as a key resource for prospective and current transfer students, ensuring a smooth transition and academic success at the institution. This position provides pre-admission/matriculation guidance, prospective transfer student support, support for transfer student issues, proactive outreach to students, triage of student challenges to on campus resources, develops programming for pre-matriculated transfer students. Responds to inquiries from prospective transfer students regarding admission requirements, transfer credits, and academic programs. Provide individualized pre-admission advising to ensure students have a clear understanding of their transfer process. Collaborate with admissions and academic departments to streamline the transfer experience. Assists the Transfer Student Success Coordinator with students in resolving enrollment, academic, and administrative challenges. Assist the Transfer Student Success Coordinator with routing academic referrals to coaches for additional support. Act as a liaison between students and campus resources such as financial aid, academic advising, and student support services. Identify and address obstacles that may hinder students’ academic progression. Monitors academic performance of transfer students and conduct outreach to encourage student engagement for academic support. Develop and implement intervention strategies to support student retention and success. Outreach to specific transfer students at peak times to provide information and support as needed. Connect students with appropriate academic and support services to improve outcomes. Designs and facilitates workshops for prospective transfer students on topics such as transfer planning, application processes, and academic expectations. Collaborate with community colleges, high schools, and other stakeholders to promote awareness of transfer opportunities. Develop informational materials and resources to support prospective students in their transition. Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (
