OBJECTIVE

The Principal models Christ-centered integrity, fostering a faith-nurturing campus through example. He/she will lead the school to deliver a dynamic, academically excellent curriculum that nurtures every student’s God‑given gifts and equips them with the knowledge, skills, and enrichment opportunities needed to develop strong, intelligent, creative, and compassionate Christian character; to instill biblical principles that inspire future leaders who will impact the world for Christ. The FBCA Principal has an energetic and dynamic personality; he/she loves Jesus and children.

Believes and commits to following the mission of the school. Accepts Jesus Christ as his/her personal savior. A member in good standing at a Christian Church (preferred).

QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent understanding of curricula, curricula development, instructional best practices and the ability to lead groups of professionals to arrive at a consensus on the curricula prepared. Demonstrates the ability to communicate (verbal and written) clearly, to all stakeholders, including the Executive Board, administration, teachers, parents, students, etc. Maintain a valid Florida State Driver’s License. Master’s degree from an accredited university is preferred. Minimum two years of teaching experience is preferred. Administrative experience involving leadership responsibilities. Ability to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Serves as an instructional leader for the professional staff. Analyzes data and assists teachers in using data to inform daily instruction. Keeps informed of educational innovations and trends as they relate to instruction and shares this information with members of the faculty and other stakeholders. Assists in orientation, planning and conducting in-service training programs for professional personnel. Analyzes data to determine strengths, needs and trends related to the curriculum and makes suggestions to revise/ adjust curriculum to address gaps and overlaps if any. Responsible for the preparation of an annual school budget. Assists with the development and execution of the FBCA school marketing plan. Responsible for the evaluation of all building staff including secretaries, instructional aides and teachers. Responsible for the creation of the schools Master Schedule. Knowledge of Florida School Law and Educational Policies and Mandates as designated by the Florida Department of Education. Partners with the Executive Board to create a 3-5 year Strategic Plan subject to annual review. Creates and revises school policies including the Faculty Handbook, Student Handbook and the Student Code of Conduct. Subject to review and approval by the FBCA Executive Board.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Staff workday as established by FBCA (12 month work calendar). Available on campus during the hours students are in attendance and per required work hours (7:15am-3:15pm). Salary and benefits are also designated by the FBCA Board. Pre-employment requires applicants to submit Florida Background Record Check including FBI fingerprinting documents.

EVALUATION

Evaluation will be completed by the FBCA Executive Board and in accordance with FBCA policy on evaluation of professional personnel. Contract is subject to annual renewal.
