Job Description:

The Learning Coordinator at the NWFSC Collegiate High School is directly accountable to the Assistant Principal of the Collegiate High School for the following duties and responsibilities: The individual filling this position is expected to play a positive role in helping the College change as necessary to effectively carry out its mission. The primary responsibility of this position is the daily oversight of the student academic resources lab; specific duties include the following: Instructs and monitors students in academic success and executive function scaffolding and support Provides supervision and academic support to Collegiate High School students throughout the school day and during after-school activities Monitors and tracks student progress in course and lab assignments and various online instructional activities Organizes and monitors equipment, supplies, and other resources used in the lab Works harmoniously and collaboratively with other high school and college faculty and staff to assure students’ success Responds to all correspondence from parents, supervisors, students, and colleagues in a timely manner Participates in reflective practices and applies feedback from supervisors Maintains accurate and appropriate academic records. Grades a minimum of two assignment per week and enters all grades into FOCUS School Software and/or Canvas weekly for student accountability and parental progress monitoring Stays current on and follows all Collegiate High School policies and procedures and assists in the annual review of school handbook, website, and correspondence materials to ensure information remains current, relevant, and accessible Attends, assists, supports, plans, and helps execute events and activities outside of the school day to include, but not limited to open house, prom, senior activities, award ceremonies, convocation, high school and college graduations, and recruitment activities in the community Ensures professional, timely communication with CHS faculty/staff, students, and parents Develops, revises, evaluates, and implements Collegiate High School curriculum Attends and actively participates in faculty meetings, mandated trainings, and professional development opportunities Seeks out and participates in professional development and continuing education activities to maintain and build skills and knowledge related to use of technology and teaching best practices, to include QEP and CITL events Serves as a member of the Collegiate High School Assessment and Accountability Team Teaches WOW Week (orientation week) and Minimester (end-of-spring term) classes as assigned Serves as an advocate and positive representative in the community for the Collegiate High School mission and the students Serves as a Collegiate High School club sponsor as assigned Participates in and complies with all mandatory and directed safety practices, drills, and trainings Completes assigned tasks, duties by due dates As a part of the college’s risk management tool, completes annual mandatory compliance training Performs other duties as assigned Benefits Health insurance for employee and dependent coverage available.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s or higher-level degree from an accredited post-secondary institution required; degree in English, reading, history, or education strongly preferred Four (4) to six (6) years of relevant work experience. Holds/ability to obtain a Florida teaching license Minimum of one (1) year teaching or other instructional experience in an educational setting Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication Demonstrated proficiency in instructional technology (e.g., word processing and presentation software, internet and web use, and computer-assisted instruction)
