We are dedicated to providing a unique and enriching educationalexperience rooted in the Montessori philosophy. Our school serves adiverse community and is committed to fostering a supportive andinclusive learning environment.

We are seeking a qualified andenthusiastic principal to lead our secondary program during the2024-2025 school year. The secondary program at IMO willaccommodate approximately 400 middle and high school students. As amember of our leadership team, the principal will play a pivotalrole in shaping the educational direction and success of oursecondary program.

The principal’s primary job is to create acollaborative community for adults and adolescents whichfacilitates academic and social emotional learning environments.

This includes having an intuitive and working understanding of theMontessori model for adolescent learners, understanding humandevelopment, commitment to restorative practices and peaceeducation, and dedication to meeting the needs of all students. Theprincipal will spend more than half of their time on instructionalleadership in leading and developing teachers to improve theircraft.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesLeadership:

Implementing, evaluating, and reporting to the Board ofDirectors the school’s goals and objectives reflectingorganizational and state goals. Maintain a positive school/community climate and a safe andhealthy environment. Manifests a professional code of ethics and values. Communicates and interacts effectively with all stakeholders inthe community.

Special qualifications:

Florida certification aseither School Principal or Educational Leadership required withinthe first two years of employment. Five (5) years of relatedprofessional experience required (preferably in MontessoriEducation). Master’s or Specialist’s Degree in EducationalLeadership (or current enrollment in an accredited EducationalLeadership degree program). #J-18808-Ljbffr
