Principal, Athletic Director Job Description:

Under general supervision of the Principal and Athletic Director, this position shall have responsibility for assisting the Athletic Director in the overall management of the ACE athletic program. This job classification requires a flexible working schedule that includes nights and weekends. Ensures compliance with all State and Federal Laws, State Department of Education Rules and Regulations, State Charter School Commission rules and regulations, and ACE policies where applicable.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited institution is preferred

Experience :

High school varsity coaching experience in Baseball, Football, Basketball, strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

Assists the Athletic Director in supervising the High School and Junior High athletic programs in coordination with the Principal, Superintendent and others. Coach as needed per Athletic Director. Assists the Athletic Director with the development of the athletic schedules and officials’ schedules for all contests. Assists the Athletic Director in the coordination of transportation for all athletic contests. Assists the Athletic Director in coordination of support personnel for all athletic contests, including game management, ticket sales, security, athletic trainer and emergency personnel and apparatus. Assists the Athletic Director in the support of all athletic coaches. Assists the Athletic Director in the supervision of all contests Assist in the facilitation of physical and academic eligibility, a requirement for participation in each sport, and verifies each athletes’ eligibility. Coordinates with others for the purpose of scheduling ancillary activities that occur prior to, during, and after sporting events, such as musical programs, press boxes, scorers’ tables, half-time programs, police coverage, ticket sales, availability of on-site medical care, concessions, custodial services, and other related activities. Ensure each program maintains orderly, clean, and safe facilities and equipment. Oversees proper maintenance of all athletic fields and facilities, including practice and game fields, and the gymnasium. Responsible to carry out all other duties assigned by the Athletic Director and/or a district administrator.

Terms of Employment :

Classified full time, 210-day contract (12 month). Salary range $35,000 – $45,000 plus coaching stipends.
