The Dental College of Gia at Augusta University, we provide dental education to the next generation of professionals by offering handson education through innovative research, patient care, and service. Join other dental providers to improve the oral health of Gia and beyond. The DCG was founded to provide the people of Gia with quality dental care by educating students in dentistry. As a patient, you have the option to receive treatment in one of our three different practice models consisting of student clinics, resident care, or in the faculty practice. All dental treatments can bepleted by the specialists in our facility. We also serve patients in more than clinics across Gia.
Job Summary
This position reports to the Dental College of Gia (DCG) Dean. The position serves as the primary Financial Officer for DCG and for AU Dental Associates Inc. (approx. member private practice group). The position provides strategic leadership and longrange planning strategies to the Dean, Associate Deans, Department Chairs and the Dental Associates Board. Responsible for the finances of the college and the Dental Associates and works with the Director of Operations for the DCG. This includes the coordination and facilitation of activities pertaining to budget development and management ($ mill), information technology systems, nonfaculty personnel (approx. FTE), purchasing, central supply, grant management, business officebilling and collections, biomedical engineering and financial oversight of the physical facility of the DCG and Dental Associates.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to

FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATION DENTAL COLLEGE OF GEORGIA

Financial Officer for the Dental Associates private practice group (approx. members). Oversee and direct strategic leadership, long range planning strategies, finances, daily operations, financial reports, investment administration, policies, manage care contracts, optimize revenue, regulate billing cycle, patient management, control expenses.

CLINICAL PRACTICE ADMINSTRATION MANAGEMENT

Exercise fiscal control over the patient clinics, including the predoctoral, postgraduate and faculty practice.

LEADERSHIP MANAGEMENT

Provides strategic leadership and long range planning strategies to the Dean, Associate Deans and Department Chairs.

FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATION

Responsible for the finances for DCG, including the coordination and facilitation of activities pertaining to budget development and management ($ mill), purchasing & business office billing and collections.

OPERATIONAL ADMINISTRATION

Identify opportunities for acquiring additional sources of revenue to support the mission of the college. Develop methods and strategies for controlling expenses. Manage and control the college’s resources.

ACADEMIC ADMINISTRATION

Integrate resources into the academic planning process. Works with the Director for Operations to oversee capital projects and space management for DCG building.

CONTINUING EDUCATION ADMINISTRATION

Work with Continuing Education (CE) stafffaculty to develop new CE courses.

OTHER DUTIES

Perform all other jobrelated duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university and five years of demonstrated administrative management.
Experience in financial and business operations in a healthcare academic setting.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters from an accredited college or university with years of experience in financial and business operations in dental academic setting.
