We’re now hiring an experienced leader to join our growing team as Head of School (Director) in the Ashburn, VA area! Guidepost Montessori is a community of educators driven by a deep desire to bring about widespread change in education today.

The Director Position We seek a leader passionate about the Montessori method, capable of growing enrollment, attracting and retaining talented staff, building a strong parent community, and ensuring the highest standards of education in every classroom.

As the Director (Head of School),you will provide leadership to the entire campus team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Developing a strategic plan for the campusCreating a strong organizational culture aligned with our missionBuilding a vibrant community among staff, parents, and childrenEnsuring the delivery of an exceptional programManaging campus budget to meet profitability targetsCollaborating with the Assistant Head of School to meet enrollment goalsHiring, supporting, developing, and managing teaching staffWhat we offer: A network of supportive peers and mentors sharing best practicesOpportunities for career growth and promotionHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidays100% tuition discount for two children at any school within our network (serving children 3 months through 12th grade)The chance to contribute to a high-quality educational program tailored to each child’s needs

Qualifications we seek: Leadership experience in early childhood educationStrong organizational skills and results-oriented focusExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to foster a warm, benevolent team cultureStrong leadership skills with decision-making capabilitiesA passion for Montessori pedagogyPreferred qualifications: Experience teaching in early childhood settingsExperience as an Admissions, Administrative, Program, or School Director for a preschoolFamiliarity with Montessori methods or certificationExperience in people leadership and team developmentGuidepost Montessori is part of Higher Ground Education.
