Job Duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities MTSS Coordination:

Leads the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) process, including scheduling and facilitating bi-weekly MTSS meetings to monitor student progress and interventions. Ensures compliance with Louisiana Bulletin 1508 for appropriate interventions and referrals. Implements and tracks academic and behavior interventions for students identified in the MTSS process. Assists teachers with student referrals into the MTSS process. 504

Plan Compliance:

Ensures all 504 Plans are compliant, up-to-date, and accommodations are entered into PowerSchool. Provides teachers with a “504 at a Glance” document for quick reference. Evaluates the need for new 504 Plans through the MTSS process. ​​​​​​​

Gifted, Talented, and Special Education Services:

Coordinates with the Gifted and Talented Coordinator to identify and support eligible students. Partners with the Exceptional Student Services team to ensure timely responses to parental requests for evaluations. Oversees Child Find to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements for student identification. Collaborates with Speech-Language Pathologists to oversee speech referrals, interventions, and evaluations.

Testing Coordination:

Serves as the designated School Testing Coordinator (STC) for LEAP 2025 and DIBELS, attending all Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) monthly calls for updates. Maintains the integrity, security, and compliance of testing processes, including receiving, inventorying, distributing, and returning testing materials. Coordinates with ESS and ELL teams to ensure appropriate accommodations are entered into DRC (LEAP 2025) and DIBELS.

Dyslexia Screening and Support:

Meets all Louisiana state requirements for Dyslexia screenings, reporting, and intervention implementation. Attends Dyslexia-related professional development offered through the LDOE. Collaborates with instructional leadership and teaching staff to provide Dyslexia supports aligned with LDOE guidance.

Attendance and Truancy Oversight:

Monitors and oversees student attendance and truancy to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Professional Development:

Conducts regular professional development for staff on supporting diverse learners, implementing accommodations, the MTSS process, and testing requirements.

Data and Accountability:

Supports the Executive Director and ESS Director in collecting and reporting data for state, federal, and district accountability targets.

Collaboration and Communication:

Possesses the interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff, parents, and stakeholders, maintaining professionalism, tact, and discretion in routine interactions. Familiarity with the Louisiana DRC testing platform for

Strong facilitation skills with the ability to actively engage and manage diverse classrooms. Expertise in implementing effective Math and Reading intervention techniques. Full understanding of the Louisiana Bulletin 1508 and the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) process. Skilled in conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and developing effective Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). Comprehensive knowledge of the Louisiana Dyslexia Guidance Document and best practices for supporting students with Dyslexia. Ability to conduct 504 Evaluations and draft Individual Accommodation Plans (IAPs), with a strong understanding of federal regulations governing 504 Plans. Expertise in state and federal truancy and student attendance laws. Experience working in diverse communities with a deep appreciation for varying perspectives and cultural backgrounds. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment. High standards of professionalism, ensuring the confidential management of sensitive student information.
