YEARFULL-TIMENorth Attleborough High School seeks a dynamic educator to serve as Interim Assistant Principal for the upcoming academic year. Primary Responsibilities:
Student Affairs & DisciplineManage student disciplinary matters, including investigations, student/ parent conferences, and progressive discipline proceduresCoordinate suspension and detention programsCollaborate with guidance counselors, social workers, and support staff on student intervention plansOversee student attendance policies and truancy prevention and responsesSupport positive behavioral interventions and school-wide climate initiativesOperational LeadershipAssist the Principal with daily school operations and administrative dutiesCoordinate emergency procedures and safety protocolsSupervise lunch periods, arrival/dismissal, and other duty assignmentsCoordinate with transportation, facilities, and food service departmentsCommunication & Community RelationsServe as a liaison between administration, students, parents, and community membersHandle parent conferences and communications regarding student issuesParticipate in school committee meetings, 504/ IEP meetings, and other collaborative sessionsRepresent the school at community events and functionsSupport school communication initiatives and public relations effortsInstructional Support (Non-Evaluative)For candidates without
DESE Administrative Certification:
Conduct classroom observations to support instructional improvement, collecting and documenting objective information about teaching practices without formal evaluation responsibilitiesAssist with professional development planning and implementationSupport curriculum initiatives and instructional programsCollaborate with department heads on academic mattersFacilitate data collection and analysis for school improvement initiativesStaff Relations and OperationsCoordinate staff meeting logistics and administrative communicationsAssist with new teacher orientation and mentoring programsSupport substitute teacher coordination and staff coverage needsFacilitate communication between administration and teaching staff
QualificationsRequired:
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred)Valid Massachusetts teaching licenseDemonstrated leadership abilities and collaborative skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsCommitment to student success and school improvementPrevious teaching experience in a public school settingPreferred but
