Job Description
Four Rivers Charter Public School, a college preparatory middle and high school in Greenfield, MA, is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Athletics Director to guide and coordinate our athletic program The Athletic Director at Four Rivers oversees the full athletic program of the school. While hours and tasks vary for different times of the year, the job involves approximately 20 hours a week as the average workload throughout a school year.
The position is approximately 20 hours per week, with opportunities for other paid roles, and is a non-exempt role.
Pay:
$37.00-$53.00/hr

Responsibilities:
Supervision of Coaches:
The AD is responsible for training and supervising all athletic coaches. The AD reviews and oversees expectations of the Athletic Coach Job Description.
Budgeting:
The AD is responsible for submitting budget information to the Director of Finance and Operations each spring and as requested.
Facilities and Transportation:
The AD arranges contracts for any facilities needed by athletic teams and coordinates transportation needs with the Front Office Manager.
Scheduling:
The AD is responsible for creating schedules for each of the athletic teams.
League Participation:
The AD is responsible for representing Four Rivers in all league business.
Program Leadership:
The AD sets the tone for the athletic program at Four Rivers. Through policies, procedures, and communications, the AD encourages maximum participation and embodiment of Four Rivers character virtues in all sports-related activities. They foster a culture of positive participation and character development in all athletic activities
Qualities and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in sports management or physical education
Background/experience in sports administration, exercise science, or athletic training preferred
