TITLE:

National Honor Society Junior Chapter Advisor (BHS)

FUNCTION

To assume the responsibility for selecting, directing and supervising the National
Honor Society and it activities, directly responsible to the building principal.

DUTIES:

1. Responsible for making sure that the members of the National Honor Society maintain
standards of the National Honor Society.
2. Direct the selection process for candidates into the National Honor Society.
3. Responsible for the Induction Ceremony.
4. Assume responsibilities for all National Honor Society functions, community projects, etc.
5. Maintain necessary paper work.
6. Responsible for awareness of standards of National Honor Society.
7. Maintain communications with Local and National Honor Societies.
8. Attend National Honor Society meetings as needed.
9. Assume responsibilities for related duties that may be assigned by the building principal.
10. Adheres to the adopted policies of the Bellingham School Committee.

EXPERIENCE

1.Preferably a member of the High School teaching staff.
2.Experience in National Honor Society activities.
3.Knowledge of National Honor Society and its activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Dedication to the service of youth.
2. Demonstrated ability to relate favorably with students.
