Team Chair -SY25-26 South Shore Educational Collaborative 75 Abington Street, Hingham, MA 02043
Qualifications:
DESE license as Special Educator, Moderate or Severe needs.
Preferred:
Experience working and assessing students in a school setting with academic, behavioral, and/or emotional challenges, learning or developmental disabilities, or autism preferred. DESE Special Educator Administrator Licensure, Master’s Degree in Special Education.
Work year:
School year (183 days, including 3 professional development days) Reports to: SSEC Program Director/ Coordinator (determined upon hire)
Responsibilities:
1. Organization of program IEP caseload and all accompanying documentation. 2. Liaison to the sending school district for the IEP process. 3. Chairing Team meetings 4. Oversight of the internal IEP process and compliance 5. Maintain all IEP process paperwork, adhering to DESE regulations and Collaborative standards. 6. Ensuring compliance of all IEP components 7. Provide timely feedback and support to staff in writing IEPs and progress reports. 8. Training new staff to utilize the IEP platform. 9. Coordinate scheduling of meetings with SSEC staff and sending school districts. 10. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders 11. Display comprehensive knowledge of all programmatic aspects (services, staffing, etc) 12. Participate in the onboarding and exiting of students. 13. General knowledge of appropriate grade-level curriculum and research-based interventions available at assigned schools. 14. Remain current with Federal and State regulations 15. Participate in all staff meetings and mandatory trainings 16. All other duties as assigned by the Program Director
