INTERIM 0.7 STEM
Coordinator (Grades 6-12), 0.3 Assistant Principal (Grades 9-12) 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars 30 Providence Rd Ste 2, Grafton, MA 01519 The 0.7 STEM Curriculum Coordinator / 0.3 Assistant Principal supports grades 612 by leading the design and implementation of rigorous, standards-aligned STEM curriculum and instruction, while also assisting the High School with school operations, student support, and instructional leadership. This role collaborates with staff, students, families, and the community to promote high-quality teaching and learning across the district.
Must have the ability to:
- Collaborate with teachers on developing and implementing a cohesive curriculum in each content area
- Assist with the selection and adoption of high-quality instructional materials
- Stay current with research, trends, and regulations in education and share relevant insights with stakeholders.
- Plan, coordinate and/or facilitate professional development workshops on curriculum implementation, integrating evidence-based practices, and utilizing effective instructional strategies
- Provide coaching to individual teachers and/or teacher teams related to curriculum, planning, instruction, assessment, and/or meeting the needs of all learners
- Support decision making regarding budgetary needs and the allocation of resources for curriculum development and professional development
- Assist teachers with integrating technology and assessment tools appropriate for young learners
- Oversee district benchmark assessments and data tracking
- Monitor student achievement data
- Facilitate and model data-driven decision-making by engaging teachers and administrators in regular data inquiry cycle meetings and analysis of student progress.
- Supervise interventionists, fostering professional growth and ensuring alignment with district initiatives
- Prepare reports and facilitate presentations on the status of programming and student learning
- Support consistent, proactive communication with teachers, administrators, parents, and the community
- Develop and maintain partnerships with local cultural institutions and organizations to enhance student learning opportunities
- Foster collaboration among teachers across and between grade levels
- Supervise and evaluate professional and support staff
- Monitor and coordinate student discipline in accordance with due process rights of students
- Assist the Principal in the development and implementation of the school budget
- Assist the Principal in fostering an atmosphere of high expectations and positive culture and climate
- Assist the Principal in generating positive parent and community involvement and the enhancement of parent and staff relations
- Collaborate with District Administration and teacher teams to coordinate, develop, implement and assess programming, curriculum, and instruction
- Assist the Principal in creating and maintaining building wide systems and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Central Office Staff
