Title:

Administrative Assistant to the

Assistant Superintendent Qualifications:

High school diploma.

Valid State of Maine Department of Education fingerprint certification.

Prior experience in an office setting with proficiency in technology, office procedures, accounting, organizational skills, and customer service.

Knowledge of and experience with online systems including Google Suite, Frontline, and ADS preferred.

Ability to work courteously with diverse people in a variety of settings; ability to work under pressure, when necessary; ability to recognize boundaries/limits of authority; ability to maintain high levels of ethics and confidentiality of information.

Reports to:

Assistant SuperintendentJob Goal:

To help ensure positive support of the roles, duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Superintendent and Director of Curriculum and Instruction.

Performance Responsibilities:

Serves as Central Office Receptionist.

Maintains an atmosphere of professionalism with school personnel and the public.

Communicates courteously and cooperates with administrators, staff, parents, and community members.

Provides administrative support to the Assistant Superintendent and to the Director of Curriculum and Instruction.

Performs routine clerical work including word processing, use of varying computer systems, distributing and sending mail, filing, recording, answering incoming calls, greeting guests, scheduling of common spaces, and updating calendars as needed.

Processes background checks for all District volunteers.

Processes orders and payments for the Assistant Superintendent and Director of Curriculum of Instruction.

Maintains accuracy of all current job postings across District platforms.

Oversees the use of Frontline Professional Development, providing technical and logistical support to staff and administrators; facilitates professional development event management and supports the completion of evaluation processes for district personnel.

Manages the logistics, communication, and execution of staff events.

Manages tuition reimbursement and academic records for employees enrolled in continuing education programs.

Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities that may be assigned as needed.

Terms of Employment:

Hourly year round position. Working conditions to be established by the RSU 57 School Board.
