International Programs and Services Job Description 1.Work cooperatively in carrying out the mission of the Student Outreach and Support (SOS) unit.
2.Arrange and conduct seminars, workshops and programs designed to enhance student global and social awareness.
3.Assist with developing, implementing and executing collaborations with various units on campus.
4.Assist students by providing appropriate resources and services on/off campus.
5.Monitor student’s academic progress and adjustment to university life, provide guidance for academic and non-academic concerns.
6.Assist with the coordination and implementation of retention, marketing and recruitment initiatives and activities for University Student Support (USS). This includes recruitment event planning for prospective students, designing and executing various workshops, programs and information sessions for students, parents and campus community.
7.Collaboratively work with various campus and community partners to achieve USS initiatives and goals.
8.Support and attend functions as deemed necessary in support of engagement efforts and professional development.
9.Assist in the implementation and coordination of programs, workshops, and seminars.
10.Maintain detailed and ongoing account of student and/or group meeting sessions.
11.Serve as general advisor to special student groups such as athletes, veterans, etc.
12.Assist with development of office publications explaining the services and programs of the office; assist with the dissemination of information.
13.Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director or Assistant Director of University Student Support. Shift 8 am – 5 pm, Monday through Friday with occasional weekends and evenings Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications 1.Master’s degree in counseling or experience in higher education.
2.At least three years’ experience in counseling/guidance, student personnel administration, higher education administration.
3.Ability to communicate with a multiple individuals and/or groups in a professional and courteous manner
4.Ability to coordinate complex activities with multiple parties, work independently; communicate effectively, orally and in writing, establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with persons contacted in the course of performing assigned duties.
5.Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

$45,156.80 – $64,272.00
