Job Description:

The Assessment Center Proctor reports to the Dean of Student Services. Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Assessment Center and providing technical support to students and faculty. Coordinates testing services, ensures a secure and professional testing environment, and assists with related Student Services and instructional needs.

Job Duties:

1. Perform duties and responsibilities with the utmost integrity.2. Stay current on Mississippi Virtual Community College (MSVCC), Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI), Pearson Vue, Accuplacer, ACT WorkKeys, Nocti Business Solutions, National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), High-school Equivalency Test (HiSET), College-Level Examination Program (CLEP), Electronics Technician Association (ETA), National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS), Health Education System Inc (HESI) policies and procedures becoming certified when applicable. Become trained and familiar with other tests as needed.3. Ensure testers are adhering to policies and procedures as outlined by respective instructor, college/university, agency, and/or company.4. Provide technical support to E-Learning students and faculty.5. Administer and supervise tests in person and remotely to support student services and instructional needs of the college and the community.6. Utilizing current technology, establish and maintain a testing scheduling that supports the student, instructional and community needs. Maintain a master schedule of all assessment activity.7. Review the MSVCC proctor database.8. Coordinate with IT to ensure that all computers are functioning properly and necessary software is installed prior to the scheduled test. Proactively submit help desk tickets and follow-up for service when needed.9. Test and provide troubleshooting during exam administration as necessary to ensure optimal customer/tester experience.10. Check photo identification of the student upon arrival and compare this identification with the appropriate roster. Check approved resources for compliance.11. Enter passwords for test administration.12. Monitor assessment environment ensuring a professional and pleasant atmosphere for all examinees.13. Maintain a secure testing environment at all times.14. E-mail information to other consortia colleges.15. Report to the respective instructor, college/university, agency, and/or company any problems that occur during the testing process.16. Stay current on information presented on the MGCCC e-Learning & MSVCC websites.17. Maintain confidentiality and security of all testing materials, test logs, and other test documents.18. Utilize Microsoft Office Applications.19. Maintain an effective working relationship with college personnel, students and the community.20. Answer telephone calls and emails in an effective and efficient manner.21. Order exams and request purchase orders as needed.22. Upgrade skill level and performance through staff development.23. Maintain exceptional adherence to work schedules and college policies.24. Work evenings, weekends and alternate schedules as required.25. Perform other duties as assigned by Dean of Student Services and/or Dean of Instruction.

Mandatory Qualifications:

(M1) Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.(M2) Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.(M3) Experience managing multiple tasks.(M4) Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.(M5) Technology troubleshooting experience or demonstrated skill.(M6) Experience with on-line learning and/or teaching management systems.

Desirable Qualifications:

(D1) Experience in a community college setting.(D2) A ility to organize and administer functions, events and programs with a minimum of supervision.(D3) Experience with SCT Banner.
