POSITION SUMMARY
Reports directly to Director of Special Services. Assists with coordinating and implementing effective instructional programs within the district for students with disabilities enrolled in Madison County Schools.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s Degree in EducationValid MS Educator License in Educational Leadership and Special EducationMinimum of 5 years experience in Special Education
ESSENTIALS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists with compliance monitoring of Gifted programs, Section 504 programs, and IDEA laws and state regulations for all students with Individual Educational Plans Assists the Director with overseeing the planning, development, implementation, maintenance and evaluation of all programs required and assigned within the Department of Special Services for Madison County Schools Assists with compliance monitoring of Gifted programs, Section 504 programs, and IDEA laws and state regulations for all students with Individual Educational PlansEvaluates instruction and programming provided to students and assists with providing training to special education teachers, administrators, general education teachers, paraprofessionals and parents Serves as a resource in the assessment and curriculum planning for Special Education within districtAssists with the development of the Special Education Budget Project and monitors expenditures for project allocations within the programCompletes all other duties assigned
