Job Description
Ashe County Schools is seeking to hire a full-time, 12-month, Assistant Principal for Ashe County Middle School. The assistant principal assists the principal to provide leadership that supports the district and school vision, and contributes to the growth, success, and educational development of each student and the total school program.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree in school administration from an accredited institution
Three (3) or more years of experience as a classroom teacher preferred
Experience in school administration preferred
Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
Valid NC Professional Educator License in any applicable area
Valid NC School Administrator License (0011 or 0012)
Valid driver’s license issued by the NC Department of Motor Vehicles
Pay grade is based on the NC DPI assistant principal salary scale.
