GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB A

specific job description for each athletic director shall be filed in the school of employment. This job description should be drawn up jointly between the principal and the athletic director, giving consideration to varying circumstances in the school. The job description shall be filed in the superintendent’s office. Listed below are suggested duties to be included in the job description for athletic directors in Davidson County. No athletic director should be assigned more tasks than time or circumstances would permit him to do an efficient job. Duties of the athletic director are to be performed at times other than scheduled teaching time since they are employed as teachers, with their contracts reflecting athletic director and/or coaching responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS SCHEDULING

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Must be able to perform sedentary work exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Some positions assigned to this class may require light work exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
