Job Description Join the ECU Work+ Cohort for an immersive four-year work experience tailored to your field of study. • This program builds skills each semester, enhancing your marketability upon graduation with mentorship support. The first two years focus on establishing a foundation in customer service, transitioning into hands-on experience within your specific field thereafter. Year 1 and 2
Role Responsibilities:
Administrative support: Complete paperwork, file records, answer calls, operate office equipment, maintain logs, and adhere to protocols.
Customer Service:
Greet and assist students, staff, and guests; connect them with campus resources.
Cash Handling:
Manage transactions and follow payment security procedures.
Security:
Ensure patron safety at events and enforce facility policies.
Team Member:
Attend training and maintain positive communication with staff.
University Representative:
Model professionalism and promote a positive image of ECU on social media.
Job Shadowing and Mentorship:
Attend trainings and seminars to learn essential skills on self-reflection on being a mentee, and developing skills to become a mentor.

• Employment in this position is funded exclusively from departmental financial resources (operating budget, grants, receipts, student activity fees, etc.) and so continued employment is dependent upon the continued available funding from the department and the Work+ program. Additionally, employment is contingent on satisfactory performance and conduct. Eligibility for Employment Final candidates are subject to criminal & sex offender background checks. Some vacancies also require credit or motor vehicle checks. ECU participates in E-Verify.
