Job Description
LIBRARY/MEDIA SPECIALIST
Applications are being accepted for the position of media specialist at Haverhill Cooperative Middle School for the 2025-2026 school year.
Haverhill Cooperative Middle School is a rural school with approximately 200 students along the picturesque Connecticut River Valley.
The search committee will be looking for candidates with the following:
- A NH teaching certificate with a library media specialist endorsement (0036) or an alternative IV statement of eligibility for the same endorsement.
- Preference will be given to candidates who also hold a computer technology education endorsement (0350) or a statement of eligibility for the same endorsement.
- A clear and appropriate vision of the role of a school media center in a digital learning environment and the ability to integrate that vision with the school district’s professional development, school improvement, and technology plans.
- A track record of demonstrating effective management of media center resources.
- Demonstrated proficiency in technology integration. (All HCMS students have a laptop computer for use in each class.)
- Demonstrated proficiency in information technology and the ability to communicate those skills to both adults and children of mixed skill levels.
- The ability to troubleshoot computer and networking issues and provide front-line user support to staff members and the student body.
- A track record of demonstrated success in meeting the learning and behavioral needs of middle school students.
