Job Description:

Responsible for providing instruction and training to studentsin the Career Education Center. Develops individual achievementplans and academic goals to ensure student academic achievement inthe program. Works with the CTT Instructors to infuse appliedacademics into CTT curricula to enhance student learning andsuccess. Ensures strict confidentiality of sensitive informationand integrity of student data. o Follows all integrity guidelinesand procedures and ensures no manipulation of student data. oEnsures Center meets or exceeds DOL/Company performance goals. oResponsible to provide students with academic training leading toGED/HSD completion and improved literacy and numeracy skills.

Provides students with comprehensive and individualized casemanagement that ensures student progress, achievement andcompletion of the Job Corps program. o Ensures classroom is wellorganized and conducive to student learning. Holds studentsaccountable for following Center’s dress code/behavioral standardsof conduct. o Produces quality work/assignments in a thorough,timely and accurate manner. o Maintains appropriate personalattendance, accountability and work productivity standards. oPlans, prioritizes and organizes assignments to meet establishedgoals and deadlines. o Understands and applies job knowledge toeffectively complete all required job responsibilities. Proactivelymaintains the skills required to perform job duties. o Mentors,monitors and models the Career Success Standards as required by thePRH. o Provides high-quality supervision and management for thestudent population. Takes swift and appropriate action andpositively influences student behavior. Shows respect and courtesyto students and holds them accountable for their actions andbehavior. o Provides quality programs and services for students andensures that quality is maintained and student needs are met.

Pursues improvement and enhancement of programs and services. oExchanges ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in aclear and concise manner and contributes meaningfully to groupefforts by offering relevant ideas and knowledge. Provides qualityand timely information to DOL/Company when requested. o Effectivelyarticulates thoughts and ideas. Identifies problems, analyzescauses and evaluates appropriate solutions prior to taking orrecommending actions. Follows up to ensure prompt/appropriateaction is taken and that problems are in fact corrected. o Works inpartnership with staff from all Departments to ensure effectivesupervision and services are provided to students. o Acceptsdirection and supervision from the Center Director/Center DutyOfficer/Shift Manager to include assignments to temporarily performjob responsibilities of other departments and positions. o Otherduties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelors degree from anaccredited school required. Masters degree preferred. A validin-state teaching certificate or waiver required.
