SCOPE OF WORK

Provides administrative and technical support to the Registrar’s Office with responsibility for assisting with course registrations, maintaining of student academic records, compiling academic data and preparing reports, and This position reports to the Registrar at NHTI•Concord’s Community College.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Assist in maintaining student academic records and transcripts as prescribed by standard academic policy, procedures, and the computerized student information system (Banner).
Perform data entry in student records and filing of student record documentation
Assist in preparing degree audit of courses and review of GPA requirements for graduation review and a variety of academic reports for use by administrators and other agencies and assist with grade processing and Commencement.
Help prepare academic information for the annual revision of the College catalog and course updates.
Collaborate with the Registrar, academic department chairs, and students to manage academic standards, including honors, warnings, suspensions, dismissals, and appeals.
Verify and certify student enrollment for various agencies.
Assist School Certifying Official (SCO) in administering the Veteran’s Affairs Educational Benefits Program, and other military programs.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of VA and military education benefits and related processes.
Complies with all college, system, state and federal rules and regulations.
Other duties as assigned.

Education:

Associate’s degree from a recognized college or university. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.

Experience:

Two (2) years’ experience in a responsible administrative or office support position. Each year of approved education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience with course registration and maintaining academic records within higher education. Experience with student information systems software, preferably with Banner.

License/Certification:

None required.

Knowledge of registration processes within an educational environment. Proficient in the use of technology, especially the Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work with diverse populations and to address the needs of the academic and student community with professionalism, diplomacy, and sensitivity. Demonstrates a positive, responsible, and cooperative customer service approach. Ability to work independently, exercise professional judgment, and handle confidential matters appropriately. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to communicate successfully in both oral and written form, and to speak before public groups. Must be willing to maintain an appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the college.
