Job Description
School Business Office – Administrative Assistant Pride Academy Charter School 117 Elmwood Avenue, East Orange, NJ 07018 Under the direction of the School Business Administrator, the Administrative Assistant supports the financial operations of the Business Office in the major areas of Purchasing, Accounts Payable, and General Business Office Assignments. The Administrative Assistant contributes to the efficient operations of the Business Office, by prompt and accurate processing of purchase orders, requisitions, maintaining inventories of equipment and other A/P activities.
Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable support
- Procurement and Purchasing Duties
- Facilities Operations and Vendor Maintenance
General Business Office Support and Administration Duties and Tasks:
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times with the operations
- Manage building vendor relationships and scheduling facilities appointments.
- Maintain vendor master reports to reflect accurate and updated information.
- Process vendor invoices and prepare checks as approved by the board’s fiscal policy and procedures.
- Produce systems-generated checks on a monthly basis.
- Process purchase order requests, entering data, and placing orders for materials.
- Maintain accurate receipts of all materials/supplies coming into the school building.
- Return materials to vendors and ensure that the credit is applied to their accounts.

$45,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
