September 8, 2025•June 12, 2026 Position Overview The Passport to Learning Program is seeking reliable, enthusiastic, and responsible Hoboken High School students to serve as Student Assistants. In this role, you will support classroom teachers and assist younger students in a dynamic and creative after school environment. This opportunity is ideal for students interested in education, child development, or community service. It provides valuable hands-on experience while fostering leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Primary Responsibilities Assist classroom instructors with daily routines and activity setup Support students in academic and enrichment activities Model positive behavior and encourage student participation Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment Schedule Student Assistants may be scheduled for one or both of the following time blocks: Block 1: 3:15 PM•4:15 PM Block 2: 4:15 PM•5:15
PM Preferred Schedule:
Full Program (3:15 PM•5:15 PM) We reserve the right to make schedule adjustments as necessary to ensure staffing aligns appropriately with student enrollment and program needs.
