Job Description
Anticipated Supervisor of Special Education 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Flemington, NJ Supervises Teachers, Student Teachers, Special Education Paraprofessionals, Support Personnel, and other staff assigned to the Special Services Department. Reports to the Director of Special Services.
Responsibilities:
Create a climate in which all department personnel work cooperatively to implement the instructional program. Discover new and more efficient ways by which the school’s aims and objectives may be achieved by students and teachers. Observe and evaluate the performance and planning of department staff members, and facilitate their development toward their maximum potential. Support department staff in the creation of student-based Goals and Objectives and Present Levels of Performance which accurately reflect the needs of the students. Consult with department staff, other departments, and parents to determine needs of specific students and programs. Consult with department staff, other departments, and parents to determine supplemental instructional materials for students.
Requirements:
NJ Supervisor Certificate required. Previous experience as a special education teacher required. Previous experience as a Child Study Team member and/or experience with Special Education programming preferred. Knowledge of Special Education law. Excellent communications skills.
Rate:
