Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
1. Valid N.Y.S. teaching certificate
Valid N.Y.S. School Building Leader (SBL) Certificate Master’s degree and at least five years of public school experience, three of which
shall have been within a middle school leadership position or the equivalent.
Exceptional educator who has demonstrated success as an instructional leader
QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED
1. Administrative/teaching experience at the secondary level.
2. Background in the implementation of educational technology in the instructional process.
3. Evidence of strong instructional leadership skills
4. Experience, knowledge and background related to N.Y.S. learning standards and assessments
5. Evidence of strong communication and interpersonal skills with parents, staff and students
6. Knowledgeable advocate of middle school children
7. High Energy and considerable personal and professional integrity
8. Able to perform as a visible and effective leader in both long-range planning and day to day operations of the district
