Job Description
The Arlington Central School District, a unique, culturally-diverse district with influences of urban, suburban and rural settings, is located in the Mid-Hudson region of Dutchess County, New York. We educate approximately 7,600 students in 11 schools, including eight elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school. Together with teachers, parents and the community, we offer students a rigorous education that promotes intellectual growth, interpersonal skills, a healthy lifestyle, appreciation for the arts and respect for all living things. Our mission is to empower all students to be self-directed, lifelong learners, who willingly contribute to their community and lead passionate, purposeful lives. We are currently seeking applicants for two Assistant Principal positions at our high School effective on or about August 1, 2025. Candidates must be highly-motivated school leaders with a demonstrated ability to impact student learning. Successful candidates must possess strong communication skills; have a deep understanding of child development and effective pedagogical practices; a commitment to the ideals of equity and the belief that all children can learn. Interested applicants should also have a record of successful experience as a teacher and/or administrator. A competitive salary commensurate with experience will be offered. Qualifications:
