Assistant Principal – Elementary West Seneca Central School District – 4.3 West Seneca, NY Job Details Full-time From $85,446 a year 14 hours ago Qualifications School experience SAS Teaching Certification Senior level Communication skills Teaching Full Job Description The West Seneca Central School District has an administrative vacancy for an Assistant Principal at the Elementary School level. This is a full-time, probationary appointment for the ideal candidate with salary and benefits paid according to the West Seneca School Administrators’ Association (WSSAA) collective bargaining agreement. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. The timeline for all interested candidates is as follows. The hiring committee will meet and screen applications as early as July 21, 2025. On Wednesday, July 23, 2025, screening interviews will take place for selected candidates and committee round interviews are scheduled for Wednesday, July 30, 2025. Finalists will meet with our Central Office Team and the Principal of West Elementary School on Thursday, July 31, 2025, with a new hire recommendation/appointment presented to the West Seneca Central School District’s Board of Education at their August 5, 2025, board meeting.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform as a visible and effective leader in both long-range planning and day-to-day operations. Perform related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications Required Certification:
NYS certification as a School Building Leader (SBL) or School Administrator and Supervisor (SAS)
Preferred Certification:
Additional NYS certification as a School District Leader (SDL) or School District Administrator (SDA) is a plus but not required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Five (5) or more years of teaching experience at the elementary school level preferred Evidence of strong instructional leadership pertaining to staff development, curriculum, instruction, and assessment Comprehensive knowledge of elementary school philosophy as it relates to: the NYS Standards, MTSS protocols, high leverage instructional practices, developmental readiness, literacy instruction and, maintaining prosocial student behaviors. Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills that foster the district’s mission of “nurturing our full potential”
