QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s Degree in Education or related field
• New York State Certification in School Administration At least three years professional experience in special education or administration.

CSE Chair and Special Education program development experience preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

:

• Coordination of all aspects of special education
• Management of State reporting and 611/619 grants.
• Chairperson of CPSE and CSE Meetings
• Oversee special education teachers, school psychologists, social workers, related service providers including speech and language, occupational and physical therapy.
• Provide oversight of Pupil Personnel related grants and coordination with outside agencies to secure support for students.
• Organization of Professional Development for the division
• Evaluation of staff (APPR and other)
• Serve in support of the special education students and team
• Comply with and administer the appropriate laws, regulations, policies and procedures affecting Special Education for the RCSD.
• Other duties as assigned
