We are currently seeking to fill a Program Supervisor position. This is a 12-month position.

The Program Supervisor will:

To oversee the day-to-day operations including effective instructional delivery and classroom/behavior management systems and processes in assigned classrooms. To provide direct supervision to Teachers, Classroom Assistants, and Personal Care Assistants and assist Teachers to identify and provide effective, evidence based specially designed instruction, accommodations and modifications with fidelity . To providetraining to the staff involved with the delivery of special education services. To oversee communication team building and problem solving.

Required:

o Masters’ degree in special education or related field; PA teaching certification in mentally and/or physically handicapped or special education. o Knowledge and experience in the areas Special Education law and PA Special Education regulations, instructional and special designed instruction best practices, assessment strategies, curriculum-based measurement, Applied Behavior Analysis, and data-based decision making. o Instructional coaching and/orsupervisory experience in a school setting.

Preferred:

o PA Supervisor or Principal Certification or current enrollment in a program working toward PA Supervisor of Special Education or Principal Certification o Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Staff and Classroom Supervision Supervises all assigned staff on a regular and routine basis in accordance with prescribed supervisory procedures and requirements including but not limited to formal and brief informal visits and observations, review of lesson plans, methods, grading system, and assessment materials, and review of grade distributions, survey results, and student and parent feedback. Completes routine observations and remains familiarity with the day-to-day operations of each classroom assigned. 3. Through direct observation, gathers objective data and provides direct verbal and written feedback to the Teacher/staff related to the fidelity of the implementation of best practice instruction/assessment procedures. 4. Meets with assigned Teachers, Classroom Assistants and Personal Care Assistants for supervision on a regular basis via scheduled supervision and in-vivo supervision. Provides support, direction, and assistance to assigned staff relative to job performance, student/staff relations, problem-resolution, and professional growth. Conducts goal setting, supervision and annual summative evaluation with assigned Teachers, Classroom Assistants and Personal Care Assistants according to established policies and procedures. Provides recommendations for disciplinary actions of supervisees to the Human Resources Manager and Chief Executive Officer when indicated. Implements and oversees Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) and completes disciplinary process with staff when necessary. Teaching and Learning Participate in the development and implementation of the curriculum guide that contains the core curriculum benchmarks, resources, instructional strategies and activities, timelines, and common assessments that are in alignment with the PA framework. Develops programs of study, participates on textbook selection/review committees, and recommends textbooks and supplementary materials for adoption in conjunction with the other Supervisors and the Chief Executive Officer Assists in the coordination and articulation between the high school, middle school, and elementary schools of the teaching and learning system to ensure that the school’s curricula are aligned horizontally and vertically. Remains knowledgeable of the Educator Effectiveness Framework and guides, coaches and supports teachers and to demonstrate competence in the
