Principal Position Overview:

The Assistant Principal supports the Principal in all aspects of school management, focusing on instructional leadership, student discipline, and staff development. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective implementation of educational programs and maintaining a safe and productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the development and implementation of the school’s curriculum and instructional strategies. Supervise and evaluate teaching staff. Manage student behavior and discipline in alignment with school policies. Ensure that student accounts are created for all educational platforms. Coordinate student services and support programs. Participate in the hiring and professional development of staff. Assist in the preparation and management of the school budget. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Communicate effectively with parents, students, and community members. Support the Principal in administrative tasks and decision-making processes. Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or related field. Valid South Carolina Administrator Certification. Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience. Proven leadership abilities and strong organizational skills. Knowledge of South Carolina education laws and charter school regulations. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively; sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and instructional materials.
