Job Responsibilities
Functions as the first point of contact, providing assistance and directions to visitors and students, over the phone or in person. Provides administrative and clerical support service, and day-to-day operational support for the TRC Campus Administrator. Due to limited staff, serves as primary problem solver when the Campus Administrator is unavailable; serves as primary cashier; supports and maintains internal operations and activities of the Tyger River Campus. Provides support to the workforce development efforts. This position will coordinate and maintain communications with the Tyger River Campus and other campuses as needed.
- Provides administrative and clerical support services for the daily operations of the Tyger River Campus and Workforce Development.
Develops and prepares forms, reports, presentations and special projects through the appropriate computer software skills. Prepares/submits monthly statistical and budget reports to the Campus Administrator. Maintains inventory of office supplies for site operations. Develops and maintains hard copy and electronic filing system for the facility and state audit review requirements. Responsible for recording/distributing minutes of staff, and advisory committee meetings. Prepares and coordinates direct mail/e-mail to faculty, staff, students, industry and community partners.
- Assists the Campus Administrator with college functions, including testing services, data entry of applications, status reports, transcripts and program changes. Assists with all recruitment activities, application/enrollment reports, workshops, and open house/information sessions.
- Greets visitors to the facility, answers incoming telephone calls, provides information to visitors, students, and callers about admissions process, all registrations, course schedules, seminars, workshops, and other inquiries. Routes calls as needed and maintains open communication with all campus personnel.
- Serves as primary cashier for the SCC Tyger River Campus, using Colleague or other college approved software.
Communicates balance and financial information to students and provides instruction where needed for account understanding. Works closely with the Business Office to resolve any discrepancies between student accounts.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
High School Diploma or GED. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and two years work experience. Additional Comments
