Provide exceptionally great customer service to our students and constituents; manage student accounts effectively in assigned areas to ensure accuracy, transparency, and sound fiscal management; and partner with the Director to implement initiatives that will equip the Student Financial Services team to continuously serve our students, and the Lee University community, better.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the development and implementation of new communication initiatives, including a social media presence and a text messaging platform, to enhance and accelerate student engagement.
Identify and coordinate the implementation of a payment plan CRM to enhance student accountability and create a more efficient system for tracking payment progress and commitments.
Facilitate recurring office tasks such as processing refunds, managing payment plans, and overseeing withdrawals, including compliance assessment.
Oversee the collection and follow-up of past due student accounts, including those assigned before, during, and after a student’s graduation or withdrawal from the University.
Serve as the liaison for billing service, collection agencies, and other departments under the Business and Finance sector.
Manage all aspects of student accounts receivable, including generating, reviewing, analyzing, reconciling, and processing related reports and accounts.
Manage the annual 1098-T tax reporting process and review sample documents to ensure the accuracy and integrity of related data files.
Assist the Director with various projects and reports that extend beyond the role’s immediate responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
At least three years of experience in accounts receivable (higher education experience preferred)
Proficiency in Excel for building and illustrating financial reports, comparisons, and/or projections
